Writing honest stories about love, loss, faith, resilience, and the moments that shape us.

A Widow’s Journey

I was filled with anticipation to finally see him again. Over the previous three months, I had truly fallen in love, and I needed to discover where this path would lead. We had become inseparable best friends, sharing our most private reflections. We discussed our deepest dreams, our joys, our hardships, stories about our children, and, most importantly, our shared devotion to Christ.

I felt as though he was my ideal partner; we were aligned in so many ways. I valued his perspective on life and felt there was much to gain from his wisdom. He was a deeply intelligent man, possessing a maturity far beyond his years. While our upbringings were vastly different as distinct as night and day we possessed a profound kindred spirit.

It was truly a remarkable and exciting chapter.
